From the keen insights and expertise of Peter P. Smith, higher education innovator and reformer, comes Rethinking Higher Education, a blog dedicated to informing readers of sweeping higher education reform. Smith brings with him over 40 years of experience in government and higher education, including his service as Lieutenant Governor in Vermont and founder of the statewide Community College of Vermont in 1970 and serving as founding president of California State University’s Monterey Bay campus from 1995-2005. Smith currently holds the Senior Vice President of Academic Strategies and Development position at Kaplan.
